DNC emails released by WikiLeaks reveal committee officials ridiculing Knox county Democratic board governor, Sylvia Woods, over the death of her husband.

In the email chain which includes Sylvia Woods, Ronald Allen and Scott Comer, Woods mentions that she felt that the chair of the Knox county board was being disrespected as they were not offered a seat at a recent Knoxville Democratic event. Allen initially replies to this email in an apologetic tone, assuring Woods that this would not happen again and offering to comp her two free tickets to a future Democratic event. Woods replies thanking Allen for the offer but says she may not be able to attend but would appreciate if the Knox county chair, Cameron Brooks was offered a ticket.

Woods then mentions, almost as a technical note, that she is using her deceased husbands email address and will be switching over to her own email address for future interactions,

“I am on my Husband, Harold’s iPad, and he died in Jan. 2014. My address is sylviawoodsknox@aol.com. I will change your address over to my address. Again thank you for responding.”

Allen then forwards this email chain to Comer saying, “All good now and look at my well-crafted response lol Can the Knox county chair come in her stead?” this email is then replied to by DNC Finance Chief of Staff, Scott Comer, in an extremely harsh and disgusting manner saying, “Of course! Glad she’s placated and using her dead husbands iPad.“

Comments like these are so insensitive, disrespectful and offensive that many of our readers will find them hard to believe, luckily WikiLeaks has archived all of the leaked DNC emails which can be read in full here. This specific email can be also be read here.
