A Google search for the words “pathological lying” produced a photo of Hillary Clinton for over an hour on Sunday evening before the image was removed.
The picture of Clinton formed part of Google’s “special illustration block,” which seeks to give users an image that immediately corresponds with their search.
“When we recognize that a query asks a question, we programmatically detect pages that answer the user’s question, and display a snippet as a featured snippet in the search results,” states Google’s official description of the special illustration block.
In this case, it linked the photo to a Wikipedia article entitled “Pathological Lying” for over an hour.
The result showed Clinton’s official photo as Secretary of State, with the description of the disorder below it.
“It is a stand-alone disorder as well as a symptom of other disorders such as psychopathy and antisocial, narcissistic, and histrionic personality disorders, but people who are pathological liars may not possess characteristics of the other disorders,” it read alongside Clinton’s photo.
