A McDonald’s drive-thru intercom was hacked at a restaurant in North Carolina, with the perpetrators ridiculing customers through the system.

In a video from ABC News Channel 12, a customer recorded the exchange they had at the McDonald’s drive-thru intercom. In the video, a man’s voice is heard saying over the radio saying, “You know, I’m actually on the toilet right now and I’m just going to serve you your food. I’m not even going to wash my hands.”

Later in the video the same voice says, “You know what, just pull forward because I’m going to give you whatever the f— I feel like giving you.” Since it was recording on Sunday, the video has been shared 875 times and viewed more than 38’,000 times on Facebook.

The incident was reported to the local police by the McDonald’s franchise owner, who said: “We are investigating this matter with the help of the New Bern Police Department. In addition, we are taking steps to prevent this isolated incident from happening again. As local owners, our biggest priority is our customers and community and we want to ensure that every experience at our restaurant is a positive one.”

It is currently believed that the pranksters hacked the radio frequency of the intercom. Local police are currently investigating the issue.
