NATIONAL HARBOR, MARYLAND–Texas Senator Ted Cruz addressed Breitbart News’ “The Uninvited II: the National Security Action Summit” today to speak for the cause of liberty and freedom from “Kiev to Caracas.”
“Just yesterday, President Obama dubbed the violence in Ukraine a matter of international law. He said, ‘President Putin seems to have a different set of lawyers making a different set of interpretations, but I don’t think that’s fooling anybody.’ I am confident Putin is not consulting lawyers, and he’s not trying to fool anyone. He’s trying to re-assemble the Soviet Union by first invading Ukraine. The people of Ukraine bravely stood up against one of the biggest bullies on the planet, and the United States should have been standing with them from the first moment.
“We need to stand with the protestors from Kiev to Caracas who cry out for freedom and closer ties to the United States. We need to make perfectly clear that the United States will never allow Israel to be isolated on the world stage, and that we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel against the threat of Iran,” Cruz argued.
