A large group of liberty-loving Texans will gather this Saturday outside San Marcos, Texas, on Saturday, March 15 to participate in a “Patriots Rally for Freedom” event that will feature a slate of well-known Texas conservatives. The event will feature liberty performers like Krista Branch, Clifton Jansky and Project Hayseed, along with around thirty speakers on a variety of topics related to conservative values.
According to a press release from event organizers, the “Patriots Rally for Freedom” event is co-founded by two ladies named Linda Buckmaster and Kate Beecham. They call for Americans to “Leave their ‘party hats’ and labels at the gate and unite for America.”
“As Goes Texas-So Goes America,” Linda explained. “The facts are these: 50% of America is on government assistance because of a crumbling economy and overwhelming debt. Our military is being gutted for partisan politics. Texas currently has 38 Electoral Votes for the Presidential election. With the state’s three largest cities now being run by Democrats, Texas is now at a tipping point politically. We are hosting this event to rally the conservative base, unite the RIGHT in order to win as many House and U.S. Senate seats as we can, and retain the conservative governorship of Texas. “
Gary Campbell, another event organizer said in a message to Breitbart Texas, “We bring 30 Speakers in Groups of Expertise to create a “Big Picture” for those confused by “Crisis Deflection” rather than Leadership. We are seeking to reinforce the already common sense decision a majority already feel. The Sleeping Giant is Awake; we seek to Unite and Direct a Red Tide across America.”
The list of confirmed speakers includes; Women on the Wall’s Alice Linahan, former U.S. Senate candidate Dwayne Stoval, former Congressional candidate Katrina Pierson, Dr. Kris Held, Wayne Dupree from NewsNinja.com, TEA Party Community co-founder Ken Crow, Remembrance Project co-founder Maria Espinoza, political news contributor Candice Lanier, Selling U.S. Out author J.R. Martin and many others.
According to the event’s website, other invited speakers include, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Rick Perry, Governor Scott Walker, Governor Susana Martinez, Former Governor Sarah Palin, and Republican gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott.
“Entertainment will be a key highlight of the event,” Linda said. “American Idol contestant and recording artist Krista Branch is performing and holding a concert along with a great patriotic band named “Project Hayseed” will also be entertaining throughout the day. The event is free to the public and gates will open at 9:00 am. There is a $10 parking fee, barbecue and snacks will be available for purchase, and we encourage everyone to bring their lawn chairs and sunscreen.”
