3 Armed Robbers, 1 Armed Texas Store Owner: Store Owner Wins

On April 28 three armed robbers wearing hoodies walked into a Texas smoke shop and yelled, “Hands up!” The shop owner drew his gun and killed one of the three.

According to ValleyCentral.com, the attempted robbery took place at Pharr Smoke Shop, Pharr, Texas.

The store owner “feared for his life…when he saw the three armed suspects come through the door,” so he grabbed his gun and fired, killing 18-year-old Julio Cesar Perez. A second suspect was arrested, but his name has not been released because he is only 16-years old.

Per Texas law the second suspect has been “charged with murder” because of his part “in the aggravated robbery that led to” Perez’s death.

The third suspect fled the store “in a black Cadillac CTX with paper plates and chrome rims.”
