South Texas Man Sics Dog On Border Patrol Agent

DALLAS, Texas — Police in the border city of Brownsville, Texas, arrested a local man accused of sending four dogs to attack a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

The attack took place Friday afternoon in the Southmost neighborhood, near the banks of the Rio Grande, when an agent was chasing a group of illegal immigrants through an empty lot, Brownsville Police told Breitbart Texas.

During that chase, 22-year-old Luis Enrique Garcia for unknown reasons sent four dogs to chase the agent.

Police officers and animal control handlers arrived to assist the agent who was not hurt in the incident.

A municipal judge formally charged Garcia with aggravated assault on a public servant and set his bond at $25,000.

In recent months, border patrol agents have been subjected to an increase in assaults as they try to deal with a record setting number of immigrants crossing through South Texas.
