Texas Man Pleads Guilty in Child Porn Case

HOUSTON, Texas — A man from Lubbock, Texas, pleaded guilty to transportation of child pornography on Monday. Scott Brandon Hutcheson, 37, now faces between five and 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. He will also face a lifetime of supervised release upon the completion of his prison sentence.

Hutcheson used his personal computer to send a pornographic image of a young boy to the wife of his former classmate. The image of the woman’s son, who appeared to be between four and five-years-old in the picture, had been modified to make it appear the child was engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The child’s name was also displayed on the photograph. This information comes from the Factual Resume attached below.

The photograph was sent under the name of a third party via email to the wife. The email said, “A friend of mine asked me to send you this, and to inform you that it has been re-blogged onto NAMBLA (North American Boy Love Association) sponsored websites. He said you would understand that filth is an aesthetic.”

In the original photograph, the child was eating an ice-cream cone. “The image had been modified and adapted to make it appear that the child was engaged in genital-genital sexual intercourse and lascivious exhibition of the genitals of one or more adult males,” the Factual Resume stated. Hutcheson signed the Factual Resume as a true and correct statement of the facts of the case.

The document states that Hutcheson knowingly transported by means of a computer, items of child pornography. It also states that he knew the item was child pornography.

In addition to his sentence, the government has filed forfeiture proceedings for Hutcheson’s personal computer and any proceeds that may or may not have been received in the process of making or transporting this child pornography. This is according to the original indictment in the case, also attached below.

Hutcheson remains free on bond at this time pending a sentencing hearing that has yet to be scheduled.

The case was investigated by the Lubbock Police Department and the FBI according to a FBI press release obtained by Breitbart Texas. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy is prosecuting.
