Minnesota Man Arrested Near Texas Border With Child Porn And Religious Items

MCALLEN, Texas — A Minnesota man remains in federal custody after federal agents near the Texas-Mexico border found more than 450 child pornography images of girls between the ages of six and 12-years-old in his RV.

Agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Patrick McGovern in Harlingen, Texas after. Officials had served a search warrant inside his recreational vehicle and found close to 450 pictures of nude underage girls, which lined the walls and ceiling of the RV, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas show.

In addition to the child pornography, agents also found holy water containers, engraved ceremonial dishes, a container for holy wine also known as a cruet, a container for catholic communion hosts, altar cards, a censer, and several other religious items. Court records do not show if McGovern is a priest or minister.

The investigation against McGovern began when he called a pair of local mechanics to check on his vehicle and warned them to not get offended by “the pictures on his wall.” The mechanics saw the images contained young girls and after fixing the vehicle called Harlingen Police who then called HSI.
