Texas Teacher Resigns After Saying Ebola Should ‘Take Out Obama’

Angela Box, a third grade public school teacher in the Houston area, is resigning after wishing that Ebola would “take out Obama.”

On a conservative public access television show, “Tommy’s Garage,” Box asked, “Can’t Ebola just take one for the team and take out Obama?”

She also called Muslims “bacon haters” and said, “Every normal human being in the world knows that goat-f**king Muslims and, oh, boy f**king Muslims, are the evil of the world.”

Box defended her televised remarks, and claimed to be the victim of “character assassination” by local Africa American activist Quanell X, according to the Houston Chronicle. Quanell X reportedly accused her of using racial slurs.

The teacher said in a statement, “As I have said before, opposing President Obama and sounding the alarm about radical Islam does not make me a racist. I am considering all my legal options regarding the conduct from Mr. X and others. I expect to have an announcement as early as next Monday regarding my future steps.”

Box has reportedly taught at West Houston’s Daily Elementary school since 2013.

The Houston Independent School District voted 6-0 to give the teacher three month’s pay subsequent to her stepping down.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations provided a statement to the Chronicle, following the resignation of Box, that said, “Our concern has always been the children — the students in the classroom and whether or not they’re impacted by the things Ms. Box said. So we’re happy, we’re satisfied, with the fact she’s no longer going to be working in the school.”
