Top Sinaloa Cartel Lieutenant Caught In Mexico

MCALLEN, Texas — Mexican authorities have confirmed the capture of one of the top lieutenants from the Sinaloa Cartel.

Mexican federal police officers, marines and military personnel raided a home in Culiacan, Sinaloa and were able to arrest Rolando “El 80” Angulo Meza, the man identified as the plaza boss in that city for the Sinaloa Cartel, information released to Breitbart Texas by the Mexican government revealed.

While no shots were fired during the raid, authorities seized two assault rifles, one handgun, a grenade, as well as communication equipment.

Angulo Meza was at one time a municipal police officer in Culiacan, Sinaloa and most recently oversaw the drug trafficking and street level drug sales in the area; Angulo is also blamed for a series of kidnappings, extortions and other criminal activity in the area, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Mexican authorities revealed.

Angulo Meza was one of the top lieutenants for Ivan Archivaldo Guzman who appears to be the one of the top leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel and is the son of legendary jailed capo Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera.
