McALLEN, Texas – Federal agents arrested a group of 11 illegal immigrants who had been hiding inside a truck carrying a shipment of onions.
The arrest took place early Thursday morning at the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint in Falfurrias when a tractor trailer pulled up for inspection, information released to Breitbart Texas by U.S. Border Patrol revealed.

A Border Patrol K-9 alerted the agents as to suspicious contraband in the vehicle so they sent the truck to a secondary inspection area.
“Upon further inspection, agents found 11 undocumented immigrants concealed between pallets of onions with no means of escape in the event of an emergency,” the information released by the U.S. Border Patrol revealed.
The illegal immigrants were offered medical attention but they refused. The driver of the vehicle who was only identified as a U.S. citizen was also arrested and the truck seized. If federal prosecutors move against the driver, he will likely be formally charged on Friday at the federal court in Corpus Christi.
