RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas — A former police officer in this local border city will spend a year in prison for having a woman perform oral sex so he wouldn’t arrest her.
Alejandro Gutierrez, was a police officer with Rio Grande City Police in 2013 when he was arrested by his fellow officers and Texas Rangers following an investigation into the abuse.
The case started when a woman went to the police station and reported that Gutierrez has detained her in an unrelated warrant but rather than arrest her he had forced her to perform oral sex on him before driving her home.
Gutierrez was arrested on those charges and then released on bond. This week, his case went to trial. He was found not guilty of sexual assault. However, he was convicted of “violating the civil rights of a person in custody by improper sexual activity”, court records that Breitbart Texas had access to revealed.
Gutierrez is facing additional charges in connection with an attempt to impersonate a police officer for an unrelated case. After his 2013, arrest, Gutierrez was fired from RGC PD; however in March 2015 a Texas Game Warden arrested him near Falcon Lake after he claimed to still be a police officer.
