Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for misdemeanor public intoxication Friday night in Austin, Texas.

According to TMZ, LaBeouf was in town for the Austin City Limits music festival this weekend and was arrested outside of a bar after he jaywalked in front of police.

The Man Down star appeared to be drunk or under the influence of marijuana at the time of the incident, per TMZ, and he was put into handcuffs after ignoring police warnings.

A photograph and video of the actor’s arrest were subsequently posted to Twitter by eyewitnesses:

LaBeouf was being processed at the Travis County Central Booking Facility late Friday.

Over the last five years, more than 27,000 arrests have been made in Austin, or about 10 percent of all arrests, for public intoxication, according to the Austin-American Statesman.

In the Texas capital, those charged with public intoxication are typically taken to jail, fingerprinted, and photographed, and also face court hearings and minor costs.
