Using the ATM’s locater device and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, police were able to locate the dump truck and begin a pursuit that eventually ended in the Dallas County town of Hutchins.

A Fox4 reporter, @Fox4Terry, tweeted a short video of the pursuit showing the dump truck being chased by several police vehicles.

The suspect led police on a chase through at least three North Texas cities before eventually coming to an end when Jackson was cornered on property owned by the City of Hutchins, Fox4 reported. Police used spike strips during the chase to slow the dump truck and eventually end the pursuit.

The pursuit was conducted by the Plano Police Department, Dallas Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Hutchins Police Department and the DPS helicopter, NBC 5 reported. The Dallas NBC affiliate also reported the rear tires of the dump truck had been shredded by the spike strips.

Jackson has been charged with theft, speeding and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle. The theft charge is a second degree felony, according to jail records obtained by Breitbart Texas. The evading charge is a third degree felony. The speeding charge is a Class C misdemeanor.

Police initially reported they believed a second suspect may have been involved in the ATM heist, the Dallas Morning News reported. Officials eventually updated their statement to say it is unclear if anyone else was involved in the ATM’s theft.

Jackson is currently being held in the Collin County jail. No bond has been set as of the time of this publication.
