Six illegal aliens from Central America turned themselves in to authorities after they were unable to find anyone to cross them into Texas. The group gave up on their quest after their resources ran out and flagged down the nearest Mexican cop in the border city of Reynosa.
State police officers near the Anzalduas area spotted a group of men who waved them down, information received by Breitbart Texas from the Tamaulipas government revealed. The men have been identified as being from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. The six individuals told police officers they had traveled to Reynosa looking for someone to cross them into Texas but had failed to do so and since their money and resources were running out they sought help. The men have since been turned over to Mexico’s National Immigration Institute for deportation procedures.
The border city of Reynosa, particularly the Anzalduas area, has been a major crossing point for the Gulf Cartel. As Breitbart Texas previously reported, the criminal organization has been crossing thousands of Central American illegal immigrants — rapidly overwhelming the detention and enforcement capabilities of the Department of Homeland Security.
Just one day prior to the six illegal immigrants turning themselves in, on Monday, military personnel with the Mexican Navy detained 21 illegal immigrants looking to make their way into Texas.
The capture was the result of an anonymous tip about a group of “foreigners” that had been kidnapped at a stash house in the Puerta del Sol neighborhood, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Tamaulipas government revealed.
Authorities stormed the house and found 21 illegal immigrants who claimed they were not kidnapped but were waiting for their turn to enter Texas through the Rio Grande.
The group was made up of illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala Honduras and Ecuador. Five of the illegal immigrants were under 18-years-old. The entire group was turned over to Mexico’s National Immigration Institute for deportation procedures
