A Mexican national in the country illegally for decades and who already had four convictions for drunk driving in the U.S. on his record was apprehended by federal officials in Harlingen, Texas, reports reveal.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials of the Harlingen Fugitive Operations Unit arrested Artemio De Alba-Medrano, according to a report on court documents filed this month.
De Alba-Medrano, 44, and his wife have been illegally living in Alamo, Texas, for years, authorities said.
The suspect has four drunk driving convictions covering the years 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2007, according to Hidalgo County records.
De Alba-Medrano also has a record of no less than 10 arrests since the 1990s.
