Green Party’s Jill Stein in Louisiana While Clinton Fundraised with Cher

While Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was in Martha’s Vineyard resting and fundraising with Cher, Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana helping flood victims.

Stein met with local Green Party activists and officials to discuss mobilizing resources to support the relief efforts to the flood-ravaged community where tens of thousands of people were left homeless after historic flooding. Clinton, at about the same time, was meeting with Cher to discuss mobilizing more resources for her political campaign.

Stein arrived on Sunday and went straight to work to help the victims of flooding, information obtained from the Stein Campaign by Breitbart Texas revealed. Stein was still in the area on Monday when she met with Louisiana Green Party volunteers and helped with the gutting of houses damaged from flood waters. Stein did not make a public statement, but instead, went to work and helped the victims.

Meanwhile, Cher was introducing Hillary Clinton at a Provincetown, Mass., fundraiser. They spent their day blasting GOP candidate Donald Trump who had visited the flood-devastated region on Friday, Breitbart Texas reported. Louisiana residents appeared grateful to see Trump, who arrived with a truckload of supplies he was donating to the region. “We knew you’d be here, Mr. Trump,” one Louisiana woman  screamed. “We knew you’d be here for us!”

Clinton bypassed Louisiana after leaving her Martha’s Vineyard respite and flew directly to California for another fundraising event. It does not appear any mention of Louisiana was made by Cher or Clinton during the Provincetown fundraising event.

On Tuesday, Dr. Stein spoke to the Washington Press Club about her visit to Louisiana, RT reported. She spoke about the heartbreak of watching victims sort through the “memories of children, including sports trophies and photos,” as they tried to salvage tiny bits from their destroyed homes.

“It was heartbreaking to meet so many displaced people and to gut homes damaged by the #LouisianaFlood,” Stein tweeted on Monday.
