Louisiana Voters Urged to Report Election Fraud

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Amid allegations of a “rigged system” and mass election fraud, Louisiana voters can actually report voting violations through a hotline thanks to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office.

If Louisiana voters encounter election fraud or technical difficulties with voting machines, the Elections Compliance Unit has been set up to investigate and report violations of election code.

“The unit is composed of law enforcement officers with statewide jurisdiction,” the state’s site reads. “The unit conducts investigations that involve voter fraud, vote buying and voter intimidation during early voting, absentee by mail voting and Election Day voting.”

The Elections Compliance Unit investigates allegations of residents providing falsified documents or identification in order to fraudulently vote in the election.

On Election Day, voters can file complaints with commissioners working at their voting precincts. Those commissioners and law enforcement are supposed to aid with issues.

Louisiana voters can also call an election fraud hotline at 1-800-722-5305, where investigators will take voters’ calls or, if they are out of the office, will give voters a call back and follow up on the complaint.

The State’s election fraud prevention unit works with local law enforcement and district attorneys on any criminal violations of voting during the election, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

Louisiana voters, along with others around the country, can also use VoteStand, which is an election fraud mobile app which allows voters to report voting violations in real time using their iPhone or Android device.

“VoteStand provides you the online tools and support you need to quickly report suspected election illegalities as they happen,” the app’s developer, True the Vote, says.

Because of Louisiana’s voting rules, where voters must show an ID at the ballot box, Secretary of State Tom Schedler says it makes fraud even more difficult, as Breitbart Texas previously reported.

“As you know when you go to vote, they’re calling your name out, they’re looking at your card, you’re writing your name down and showing that I.D., so it makes it difficult,” Schedler said at the time.
