Border Patrol agents arrested three previously deported sex offenders in a three-hour span on Wednesday in southern Arizona.

The agents assigned to the Tucson Sector apprehended the three previously deported sex offenders in three separate incidents on Wednesday morning. The arrests occurred after the criminal aliens illegally re-entered the U.S., according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials in Tucson, Arizona.

Officials did not release any specifics other than they were foreign nationals from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico. The three men had been previously removed after being convicted of sex crimes against children, the CBP stated. Breitbart Texas reached out to CBP officials for more details about the criminal aliens and their criminal/deportation history.

CBP officials responded stating:

Border Patrol agents from the Ajo and Tucson Stations apprehended the individuals. The subjects were convicted of the following sexual crimes against children: “Sexual Assault on a Child”, “Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14” and “Child Fondling and Indecent Exposure”. They were convicted of these crimes in Miami, FL, Greeley, CO, and Los Angeles, CA. One subject had five prior immigration removals. The second subject had two prior removals. The third subject had one prior removal and was serving a three-year prison sentence. These individuals were removed from the U.S. in 2015 and 2016.

The three men were all arrested and turned over to investigators where they will likely face criminal charges of illegal reentry after being deported as a sex offender.

“Border Patrol agents work to create a safer America by apprehending criminals attempting to enter the U.S. illegally,” CBP officials wrote in a statement sent to Breitbart Texas. “Returning sex offenders pose a threat to the communities in which they attempt to reside, as they tend not to register with local authorities.”

As an example, earlier this month, detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston arrested a previously deported sex offender who now sits in jail after allegedly using social media to lure a 15-year-old girl from east Texas to Houston, where he his partner repeatedly sexually assaulted her. Pedro Lopez, 24, who had been deported from the U.S. multiple times, along with another suspect, used the social media apps, Kik and MeetMe.com to lure at least one young girl under the pretense of being a music producer, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman said during a press conference attended by Breitbart Texas on November 1. Both of the men allegedly sexually assaulted the victim, Hickman reported.

Breitbart Texas has reported extensively at how freely previously deported sex offenders and previously deported criminal aliens return to illegally enter the United States after deportation.
