A Guatemalan national who was at one point on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer is on the run after failing to appear in court.

Alfonzo Domingo Sebastian, 31 at the time of the alleged incident, failed to appear in court for his trial and authorities now believe he is in hiding to avoid prosecution, WKRN reported.

Shelbyville, Tennessee police said they arrested Domingo Sebastian for the alleged aggravated statutory rape of a 16-year-old minor.

Lt. Brian Crews told Breitbart Texas that Domingo Sebastian was released from police custody after he posted a $10,000 bond.

“He [Domingo Sebastian] stated he was from Guatemala on the jail intake paperwork,” Crews said. Lt. Crews was not able to comment on Domingo Sebastian’s immigration status but did note that it appeared that ICE had placed a detainer request on him at one point.

On Thursday, Breitbart Texas reported that police charged another Guatemalan national for child rape in nearby Chattanooga. Diego Tomas-Tomas, 19, was arrested after he reportedly admitted to raping his 8-year-old stepsister in front of younger family members.
