In a highly unusual 911 call, a Guatemalan national called emergency service dispatchers in Florida and said he wanted to be deported.

In a tape recording of the non-emergency call on the 911 system, a Collier County, Florida, dispatcher answer the phone and stated “You called 911. Do you have an emergency,” WBBH NBC2 reported. A 29-year-old Guatemalan man, Cesar Sanchez responded in Spanish, “I’m very sick. It’s not an emergency. I just want them to deport me.”

He repeatedly called the dispatchers, tying up the emergency lines with his non-emergency call, officials reported.

A Collier County deputy sheriff eventually found Sanchez riding a bicycle along Bayshore Drive in Naples. The deputy arrested the man on charges of allegedly misusing the 911 system. The charge is a misdemeanor under Florida law.

It appears the Guatemalan man may get his wish. His jail record is now marked, “hold for Immigration and Customs Enforcement,” News 6 in Orlando reported.

Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed the court set Sanchez’ bond at $2,000. He remains in custody of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office pending an arraignment on May 31. Sanchez declared himself to be indigent in financial documents filed with the court. He claims to have no income, no rent expense, no other income, and says he is $800 in debt.

Officials in Collier County told local news outlets that immigration officers have been contacted but they are not certain when he will be picked up for deportation.

One local woman who reportedly had trouble getting through to 911 dispatchers told NBC2 reporter Risa Morris, “Honestly, send him back then. I mean, if that’s what he wants.”
