VALLE HERMOSO, Tamaulipas — State authorities located and knocked down clandestine radio communication equipment used by the Gulf Cartel near the border with Texas.

State police officers teamed up with the Mexican Marines to carry out surveillance and patrolling operations throughout the border region, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Tamaulipas authorities revealed. When the convoy passed an empty lot on Heroes de la Independencia Street, authorities found a radio communications tower with repeaters and other equipment to maintain a clandestine communications network.

After confirming the equipment was not registered and clandestine in nature, officers seized it and toppled the tower. There were no reported arrests.

In the border cities of this state, the Gulf Cartel continues to establish communication and video surveillance networks to outmaneuver law enforcement.

Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by “A. J. Espinoza” from Tamaulipas.
