'Shout to the Lord': 'Idol Gives Back' Ends with Praise Song

Last year, ‘Idol Gives Back’ raised $76 million for foreign and domestic charities. This year, they hope to top $100 million. Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) made taped appeals for charity for the special edition of “Idol†that didn’t make the cut but have been kicked back to Thursday night’s episode, the New York Times reports.
