A new Associated Press ‘Fact Check’ claims Sarah Palin “misrepresented to a campaign audience Thursday what her Democratic counterpart Joe Biden has said about Barack Obama’s ability to handle a foreign crisis.†But in describing what “Biden did say,†the AP article mixes quotes from two separate events last weekend and omits the section of the Sunday statement to which Palin referred: “Stand with him. Because it’s not going to be apparent initially; it’s not going to be apparent that we’re right.” The AP reference to Biden predicting Obama would fare well because he’s “got steel in his spine,†is from a separate event that same weekend than the one to which Palin referred. The clip in this post is the pertinent section from the Biden remarks to supporters in Seattle on Sunday.
