McDonald's Fourth-Quarter Profit Drops 23%

The Age: McDonald’s, the world’s largest restaurant chain, reports that fourth-quarter profit dropped 23% as a stronger dollar offset the benefit of sales growth in international markets.



Net income fell to $US985.3 million, or 87 US cents a share, from $US1.27 billion, or $US1.06, a year earlier, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said today in a statement.
