Family of Woman Mauled in 200-Pound Chimp Attack May Sue

Hartford Courant: A probate judge today granted temporary conservatorship to the twin brother of a woman attacked by a 200-pound chimpanzee last week.

Michael Nash, systems analyst for IBM corporation, asked the court to appoint him as a temporary conservator over his sister, 55-year-old Charla Nash. She was attacked on Feb. 16 in Stamford by a chimpanzee owned by her friend, 70-year-old Sandra Herold, who is not named in the affidavit.
