President Nicolas Sarkozy Tuesday dismissed as “petty French politicking” a controversy over alleged recent comments in which he questioned the intelligence of Spain’s prime minister. Sarkozy, on a state visit to Spain accompanied by his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, met with Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and deliverered an address to parliament.
