Armored Truck Spills Cash on Detroit Highway

As much as $120,000 spilled from a Loomis armored truck on Thursday morning onto highway I-75 in Detroit. Most of the dough has been recovered, but a good chunk is still missing.

Loomis spokesman Pat Flaherty told the Detroit Free Press it’s unclear whether “it was a truck malfunction or human error” that caused the side door to pop open.

The company offered a 10-percent, no-questions-asked reward for the money to be returned.
