WPRI: Calling his recovery a lifelong process, U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy announced Friday he has checked himself into a medical facility.
Kennedy is seeking treatment for an unnamed condition. The Rhode Island democrat has struggled with addiction and depression for much of his life. He is the son of U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass), who is currently being treated for brain cancer.
