Obama's Approval Rating Drops Five Points

A Wall Street Journal/NBC poll found that Obama’s job approval rating slipped 5 percentage points, to 56 percent, from April. Also, 58 percent of those surveyed said he and Congress should concentrate on minimizing the budget deficit.



A New York Times/CBS poll found more respondents disapproved than approved of Obama’s handling of the problems facing the auto industry, even as he enjoys an overall approval rating of 63 percent. In a Times/CBS survey in April, Obama’s approval rating was 68 percent.
