Cell Phone-Sniffing Dogs Head to Florida Prisons

The News-Press: Uno, the big German Shepherd, howled his readiness to get to work Wednesday as the head of Florida’s prison system finished introducing him. On command, the specially trained cell phone-sniffing dog led Department of Corrections Inspector Curtis Gore past two metal boxes and stopped, staring intently, at a third that held what he wanted. There were probably a dozen other cell phones among the legislative staffers, budget aides from the governor’s office and DOC dignitaries attending the demonstration at the Wakulla Correctional Institution
