MSNBC: Democratic divisions in Congress stalled President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul Thursday, with Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) now saying that the Senate will not pass a reform bill before the August recess.
During a health care event with this leadership team, he said, “The decision was made to give the Senate Finance Committee more time.”
Reid added that it was better to have “a product based on thoughtfulness rather than jam something through.”
