WISH: The Indiana Court of Appeals ruled Thursday morning that the Indiana Voter I.D. law violates the Indiana Constitution. The controversial requirement to show identification at the polls on Election Day previously withstood a federal challenge that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A three judge panel overturned a lower court’s decision saying, “…we conclude that the Voter I.D. law violates Indiana Constitution Article 1, Section 23, and must be declared void because it regulates voters in a manner that is not uniform and impartial.”
