AFP: Film-maker Roman Polanski was set to be bailed Friday and placed under house arrest at his chalet in the Swiss ski resort of Gstaad while he awaits a ruling on his extradition to the United States. The 76-year-old was moved from jail in northeastern Switzerland to an undisclosed location on Thursday ahead of the transfer to his chalet for “security reasons and protection of the person,” Swiss justice ministry spokesman Folco Galli told AFP.
