Charlottesville Daily Progress: A state police spokesman said at a 10:15 p.m. news conference that Christopher Speight, 39, of Appomattox was the suspect in the killings.
Speight was still at large as of 10:15 p.m. and was believed to be in the rural area where the eight were killed. He is considered armed and dangerous.
