Asheville Citizen-Times: Asheville Regional Airport police arrested a 23-year-old Ohio man who was carrying a handgun and listening to police radio scanners near the runway around the time President Barack Obama’s flight was leaving Asheville.

The police report indicated an officer saw him talking into a radio with a remote earpiece. The second video in this playlist shows McVey in a TV advertisement for an Ohio hearing center. He may have some familiarity with such devices.
The police report also indicated that McVey’s car had radio, camera and siren equipment. The third and fourth videos in this playlist show McVey’s car equipment in use. McVey is an active HAM radio operator and seems to work as a SKYWARN observer.
Early reviews of McVey’s websites so far show no signs of political commentary or interest.
