Controversial Brazilian Art Exhibit Distracts From San Paolo Biennial Celebration

Brazil’s biggest art show, the Biennial of Sao Paulo, is unleashing a storm of controversy over works showing world leaders being executed. The country’s lawyers’ association has demanded the drawings — depicting the pope and former president Bush being shot, and President Lula having his throat cut — be withdrawn. But, as the artist himself tells AFPTV, the images are going to be displayed to the public, no matter what the reaction.
