Alec Baldwin: Candidates Want to Be 'Relieved of the Burden' of Fundraising

On an invite from Sen. Dick Durbin, Alec Baldwin was on the hill last week promoting, among other things, campaign finance reform. He suggested that congressional candidates want to be “relieved of the burden” of fundraising and argued that reducing the influence of “corporate lobbyists and special interest money” in campaigns would be beneficial.
