Take a look at this news report from Mobile, Alabama’s WALA on the illegal-immigration bill making its way through the Alabama state house. Is it possible that the reporter couldn’t find anyone to speak out in favor of the bill? And why do they only interview hard-working, sympathetic Latino people and don’t challenge them with questions about the costs of state services to support the people who are in the state illegally? Finally, why does the reporter not take note of the fact that the person she first interviews who has been in the country for over a decade still can’t speak English?
