Syrian activists have called for demonstrations on Friday to protest against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad for the bloody crackdown that has left more than 2,700 people dead and tens of thousands in prison or unaccounted for, according to the United Nations. A video posted on You Tube shows a man allegedly being beaten by security forces.
