Bashir's Shrill Indignation: 'If Anyone's Dirty It's Newt Gingrich' Whose 'Morality Has Been Drawn From The Sewer'

Part of Martin Bashir’s chortle-inducing diatribe against Newt Gingrich includes this shrill condemnation: “A man who pontificates about his Catholic faith and morality, but repeatedly commits adultery.” Perhaps Mr. Bashir knows something about Mr. Gingrich’s recent history that has not yet been reported. Mr. Gingrich converted to Catholicism in 2009, nine years after marrying his current wife, Calista. So, for Mr. Bashir’s offensive accusation to be true, Mr. Gingrich would have to be guilty of “repeatedly committing adultery” in the past two years.
