Obama's UN Ambassador: Only 'Diplomatic Solution,' Not Strike, Will End Iran Nukes

UN Ambassador Susan Rice: “We need to test the proposition that the mounting pressure could indeed lead potentially to a negotiated diplomatic solution, which is the only way to end the program once and for all. For all the talk of military action, which we think at this stage still very premature, the reality is that a strike is not going to end the program in perpetuity. It may set it back a year or two. The only way to end it permanently is if they decide as South Africa did and other countries have, to give up their nuclear weapons program and that’s what we’re trying to accomplish through intensified pressure”
