Carney: Morsi's Power Grab Something Egypt Must 'Solve Internally'

Jay Carney: “As I tried to explain yesterday, we need to step back and look at the transformation that has been occurring in Egypt since the revolution began there. We have raised our concerns about the decisions and declarations that were made on November 22nd … We believe firmly that this needs to be resolved internally as part of a transition to democracy and the building of institutions that create checks and balances in an Egypt that will have, as a government, an entity that is more responsive to the will of the people in Egypt and more democratic. Where we have concerns we raise them, but we also understand that this is an internal Egyptian process.”
