White House Asks Democrats To Accept Spending Cuts In Fiscal Cliff Deal

The White House press pool pointed out that the President’s budget, including spending cuts, has not received one vote from Democrats and asked if the White House wants to encourage Democrats to accept the President’s plan. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, “yes” the Democrats should accept some spending cuts to move the fiscal cliff talks forward.
