Hagel: Iran Has 'Legitimate' Gov, I Mean 'Recognizable'

Hagel fumbled on the policy of Iran early in his confirmation hearing today when he said Iran had a “legitimate” government. Democrat Senator Gillabrand gave Hagel a chance to clean up his statement by asking if he really meant “legitimate.” Hagel responded that he should have said “recognizable.”
