Inhofe: Hagel's Views 'Very Troubling And Out Of The Mainstream'

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), the ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, told the hearing today that while he respects Hagel’s service, he cannot support his nomination. Inhofe detailed issues which Hagel has “switched positions” in the last few weeks. The Senator concluded that this pattern was “very troubling” and that Hagel seemed to be a person who was going to continue to carry out the “failed policies” of the Obama Administration.
