WH Senior Advisor: Obama's Proposal Doesn't Balance Budget

White House Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer:

“What our budget would do is follow the path of all the budget provisions that would put us more toward a sustainable place. But I know this is the new poll-tested talking point is that they want to balance the budget … You don’t want to balance the budget just for the point of balancing the budget … What we’re going to do is have a budget that helps the middle class, grows the economy, creates jobs, and reduces our deficit … It’s going to put us on the path that puts us on the mutually agreed upon levels of deficit reduction we should have.”
