Obama: No Special Counsel Needed For IRS Scandal

President Obama told the press on Thursday that working with Congress and the Inspector General to address the scandal within the IRS was “sufficient” to “fix” the problems. The President announced that the Inspector General was going to recommend an investigation into the claim that the IRS unfairly targeted conservative groups for additional audits and regulations based on the names of the groups. “Between those investigations,” the President said, “I think we’re going to be able to figure out what happened, who was involved, what went wrong, and we’re going to be able to implement steps to fix it.”
