Issa: Lerner May Have Waived Fifth Amendment Rights

House oversight-committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) adjourned today’s hearing by saying Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS’s tax-exempt division during the targeting of conservatives, may be recalled to testify because when she made an opening statement before pleading the Fifth that could legally constitute a waving of that constitutional right.
